Sex-Offense Specific Treatment

We offer sex-offense specific treatment utilizing strength-based, motivational, sex-positive, and non-judgmental approaches.

We adhere to the best practice guidelines published by the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA, 2014). This includes using the Risk Needs Responsivity (RNR) model (Andrews and Bonta, 2007), which means that clients' treatment plans and the intensity of interventions will be tailored to address clients' specific risk factors, protective factors, and individual circumstances.

Clients begin treatment by attending their intake session and a pretreatment group. Following pretreatment, clients continue weekly group and/or individual sessions.

Female Clients

We also offer treatment services for female clients. ATSA does not have any currently published practice guidelines for working with adult females who sexually abuse. We base our work with females on the most up-to-date research.
